Currencies and date format

Add currencies, manage custom currency records, and change company calendar format

Brakzon Atlas supports multiple currencies and multiple calendar systems.

Add a new currency

Open Settings and use the Currencies section.

Required fields:

  • code, for example USD
  • name, for example US Dollar
  • symbol, for example $

After saving, the new currency becomes available in places such as:

  • products
  • project budgets
  • income
  • expenses
  • contracts
  • workers
  • exchange records

Currency types

You may see two kinds of currencies:

  • System currencies: built-in currencies provided by the app
  • Custom currencies: currencies added by your company

Update a custom currency

Custom currencies can be updated directly from the currency table.

You can change:

  • code
  • name
  • symbol

System currencies are read-only.

Delete a custom currency

Custom currencies can be deleted from settings.

Before deleting, confirm the currency is not part of active work you still need.

Recommended check before deletion:

  • no new product should use it
  • no new budget lines should use it
  • users understand it is being retired

Calendar system / date format

Company settings also control the calendar system used for date entry and date display.

Supported systems:

  • Gregorian
  • Solar Hijri (Persian)
  • Lunar Hijri (Islamic)

Where the calendar setting is used

Changing the calendar system affects date fields across the app, including:

  • project dates
  • expense filters
  • income filters
  • exchange dates
  • worker dates
  • contract-related dates

How to change the date format

  1. Open Settings
  2. Find Calendar System
  3. Select the preferred calendar
  4. Save profile

After saving, date placeholders and formatted dates use that company setting.

Important advice before changing the calendar system

Change the calendar system carefully when the team is already entering data.

Best practice:

  • decide the company calendar early
  • train users to enter dates in the selected format
  • avoid switching frequently during active data entry periods

Multi-currency working tips

  • use one main reporting currency for leadership review
  • use project exchange records when money moves between currencies
  • keep product pricing in the correct selling currency
  • make sure workers and contracts use the intended currency before saving
